Shutdown of National Museum of Bosnia Herzegovina

Slovenian National Committee of ICOM has already a year ago drawn attention to the unacceptable handling of international and national cultural heritage in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In January 2012, the President of ICOM Slovenia, MA Tanja Roženbergar, as a sign of support for colleagues from Bosnia and Herzegovina, wrote a letter in which she offered help, especially in terms of public awareness and providing information about the events in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Slovenia as well as internationally. In March, city of Celje held a meeting with representatives of national committees of the former Republic of Yugoslavia, in which they devoted extra attention to those issues and made them publically noticeable.

ICOM Slovenia gives full support to the colleagues from Bosnia and Herzegovina and is open to any initiatives for the benefit of cultural heritage.
